This is just a test to see if I could paint in Photoshop. Of course the anatomy still needs work.
More practice I guess..

Cammy

Cammy from Super Street Fighter II. Ugh, her torso is a bit long. I need more practice..but I will get it with time I think.

Chun Li

I also decided that I need to work more on the female anatomy (fictional and real) so for a time I am only going to draw women in different sizes and forms for practice. He though is Chun-Li from Street fighter II. I think that her arm is too long. So I will need to watch that for next time.

Subway Lady 111909

So it's been a little while since I have posted anything. I started a new flash class, and it's kinda taken up a bit of time. I don't know if flash comes as easily to me as Illustration does. However it's worth trying new things, right? I think that I am gonna post once a week towards the end of the week so that I am not uploading for uploading's sake. that way I can be a bit more selective.
Anyway here is the latest.

Hulk in Color

Just messing with some of the paint settings in photoshop on my Hulk sketch.
There are some people who can make paintings in photoshop look like real paintings.
I'm not one of them, but here is a start.

Society of Illustrators 52

This is the entry that I submitted for the Society of Illustrators #52 contest.
The idea is basically a robot collage of sorts, like the robots are coming out of the page/image or taking part in some sort of group photo.
I hand drew the image, scanned it into Photoshop and then painted it using photoshop and a lot of patience. I then scanned in a piece of paper with lots of pen and ink scribbling and then gave it some texture by adding drop shadows. The first image is the final color painted entry.
The second image is the original line drawing that I scanned into photoshop.

Society of Illustrators 52

I just entered the Society of Illustrators #52 contest. The contest is an open call to submit entries for inclusion in their annual publication. I will upload my entry shortly.
I doubt that I will win or anything, but at least it's a start/practice.

J-Gato Fashion Designs

These sketches are from a clothing line that a friend of mine tried to start (called "J-Gato").
The clothing line never got off the ground, but at least I have the sketches to show for it.
Sketches done in pen and colored pencil.

The Hulk

A sketch of the Hulk that I did in pen and ink.
His hip is a little messed up, but I like the rest of it.
I need to work on my anatomy some more.

Hellboy

Hellboy--in pen and ink.

Maximus--The Gladiator (Russel Crowe)

More pen and ink sketches. I also like the actual way that the pen renders on a textured sheet of paper. Maximus "The Gladiator"--pen and ink.

John J. Rambo

Sketch of John Rambo I did in pen and ink. I like working in pen and ink because it's quick and fast and I don't have to worry about sharpening, etc. I will upload some pencil sketches soon.

Smoking dude on the train

Sketch of a smoking dude that I saw in Union square in pen and ink.
