Back to Basics

Every now and again I feel like my drawing is shit. So it helps to try and go back to basics and do some figure drawing. Here are some posts from a recent drawing night at 3rd Ward in Brooklyn.

Downtown Spire

 

Ok, this one took me a really long time.
I first did a photo painting over an image that I found online (THIS IS NOT MY PHOTO).
I only used this for practice to test out the brushes/functionality in painter.

I merged the photo/painting with another image to give it the impression that there is a large spire-like object embedded in the downtown village. Yet people are shopping and going about their business as if it just belongs there.

I did this in both Photoshop and Painter
