The RAW artists network is a group of artists from all different disciplines that hold events to showcase their work all over the US (and possibly internationally?). The types of different artists include all kinda from painters, designers, accessory makers, to performance and makeup artists. Judging from the previous photos and events, it looks to be quite the spectacle. Well, I am really happy and excited to announce I have just been accepted to participate in the RAW artists’ RAWK Holiday Showcase for 2017.
This feels so different than any other showcase I have participated in before. Unlike other shows, there is an application process that you need to go through in order to be accepted. Then once you are accepted, you have the ability to showcase your work in a professional, yet stylish art space.
You are also given a lot* of logistical guidance on how to prepare for the show logistically, how to promote the show, get the word out, sell tickets to promote yourself and more.
There are weekly phone calls leading up to the show (I have one on Tuesday of this week, followed up a final walk through of the space and a detailed schedule of what needs to happen leading up to the event.)
It really really feels professionally done, and that they give you a lot of help in getting ready for the event. I am really excited about it, and will be writing about the process to get ready for the event in the next few weeks. This will give you an idea of how to prepare for an art show such as this one and I am sure I will learn a lot and will be happy to pass along what I learn.

Tickets for the event are pre sold (not at the door),
this replaces the need to pay for a table that most spaces charge.
